Social Conditioning

In Awe

“The idea is that you-as Kane (Spiritual) decided to accomplish certain things during this lifetime and accomplish them you will.”

“It’s something like having decided to set sail from one shore of an ocean to the other. The destiny you’ve assigned yourself is to get to the other side, but the specific direction you take, the currents you follow, the kinds of sails you use, the sort of crew you take on, the islands you stop at, and the attitudes you develop along the way are all up to you.”

Serge Kahili King’s “Urban Shaman” was published in 1990. I have had his book since 2007 and have been reading it since then BUT…

It was only this May when I chose to commit to a paradigm of having a contract with God. I chose to leave God to enter into this life. I believe I came fully equipped to meet the challenges of life.

I am in awe over how God has fully empowered me to live my own pathway exploring how it is to be made to his image and likeness. (made to the image and likeness of God, according to the catechism!)

Parallelisms

Many statements  of Serge Kahili in “urban Shaman” can be applied to my website. My essays usually are meant for “helping people to discover their own power to change their lives.”

I likewise maintain “an open-door policy”.

” Some fear the knowledge will be less potent if everybody knows it.” I want to share what I have learned, usually the hard way. I want my readers “to understand and use” whatever knowledge my essays give.

“More often the teaching would be done by example, suggestion and counseling”
I wish my readers would be inspired to change their limiting beliefs after reading my experiences.

“…the dissolving of limiting beliefs could be done in a number of ways, but a common method used was a kind of talk therapy often including affirmations.”

“…but invariably the process (training for shamanism) would emphasize self-esteem and inner authority.”
The seven principles summarize the world view of shamans. I included the principles in a previous essay.

An Empowered Pathway

Some time in May 2017, I was inspired to commit to a paradigm where I chose to leave God to enter into this life but only after being equipped for the adventure and assured of my return to Source.

“Urban Shaman” which i reviewed after I chose the paradigm reflects ome of my thoughts:
“Through me and my particular personality and outlook.”
“The shaman plunges into life with mind and senses, playing the role of cocreators.”

The training for shamans empowers: “…the process wold emphasize self-esteem, inner authority, and the power of words to direct energy, evoke imagery and create beliefs.”

I resonate with the above. I feel that is partly what i received from God before I chose to enter into this earthly life in order for me to meet the challenges of the universe.

A god-given gift is a shamanistic tool: “Self-appreciation… relaxes muscles; increases awareness, energy flow and strength; opens up skill memory and makes you feel better.”

Manifesting or having prayers answered is made possible this way: “Then the eae or difficulty of these activities will vary according to your present level of self-confidence and self-esteem.” (Also called your mood)

Following my pathway has been made easier by means of the 7 principles of Shamanism:

1.  The world is what you think it is.
2.   There are no limits.
3.   Energy flows where attention goes.
4.   Now is the moment of power.
5.   To love is to be happy with.
6.   All power comes from within.
7.   Effectiveness is the measure of truth.

Fourth Principle

“Urban Shaman” has the first article about ‘Karma’ that does not make me feel hopeless. Thank you Serge Kahili King.

“One common western tradition holds that you are rewarded in this life for obeying specific
social or religious rules and punished in this life for breaking those rules, no matter how long ago you obeyed them or broke them nor whether or not anyone was there to see you do it.

My interpretation of the above s about the damage to humanity caused by unhealthy festering guilt. I can’t understand why religion for such a long time insists on dis-empowering believers as though forgiveness does not exist. Of course Catholics will insist on confession.

“Another more modern western tradition lays the praise or blame for your present attitude, action and circumstances on heredity and your early social environment. The implication is that you were shaped by forces beyond your control and cannot be held responsible fr what your genes, your parent or society did to you.”

I cannot subscribe to the above belief because I don’t believe in victimhood nor martyrdom.

Steve Jobs and Wayne Dyer are glorious examples of “Now is the moment of power.” Both had childhoods that could have prevented them from becoming who they turned out to be.

“The Shaman tradition…says:”… the past did not give you what you have today”.

“It is your beliefs, decisions, and actions today about yourself and the world around you that give you what you have today and what make you what you are.”

“Your environment and circumstances in this moment are the direct reflections of your mental and physical behavior in this moment.”

My Second Level Reality

After the March Indonesian trip of Emil, i have been brave and creative. after our Singapore trip (April and May) I am braver and more creative.  After the 5th anniversary of my 2012 stroke I am even braver and more creative.

After reviewing Serge Kahili King’s “Urban Shaman” I have a clear understanding of life. All I have to do to travel my particular pathway to Source is to follow he 7 principles ofUrban Shamanism.
1.  The world is what we think  it is.
2.  There are no limits.
3.  Energy flows where attention goes.
4.  Now is the moment of power.
5.  To love is to be happy with
6.  All power comes from within.
7.  Effectiveness is he measure of truth.

Without dogmas, without arbitrary prohibitions life is simple. I can usee all the god-given gifts i received before i hose to enter into this life and meet the challenges of the universe.

What a joy to believe that God does not want nor need to test me.

What a joy to be liberated from he limiting interpretations of God’s requirements.

What a joy to be affirmed that God is already in me!
