I grew up with a litany of rules and responsibilities. I lived in a culture of salvation, struggle, guilt etc. Esther Hicks, Neale Walsch, Sylvia Boorstein, Gill Edwards, Mike Dooley, etc have liberated me.
Esther Hicks:”…to be self-serving is a good Thing for when you care enough to bring yourself into alignment with the greater part of Who-You-Are, while you have certainly served yourself (and you know that because you feel so much better) you now are in a position to be of value to others.”
Neale Walsch: “It is important to understand that life is nothing but energy. It is energy organized and who does the organizing? we do. Surprisingly the answer is…us. life is pure energy that circles back into itself.”
Boorstein: “Sweetheart, you are in pain. relax. Take a break. Let’s pay attention to what is happening. Then we’ll figure out what to do.”
Gill Edwards: “I believe that our first responsibility is to make our own lives work.”
Mike Dooley: ” Our first responsibility in life is not to make this world a better place or to tend to those less fortunate but to live up to our own high standards, to act with faith that our dreams are meant to be and to maintain a tolerance and compassion for our own divine journey.”
