Heuristic Writings

My husband has written extensively on spirituality in the workplace. I believe that the individual is of utmost importance in any program for any group. I do not believe in the one-size-fits -all dictum. This has been bolstered by my health history.

I have been told: “mine is a marginal case” ; My case is unique”; “The treatment does not work for me”. Once the doctor even told my husband he no longer knew what to do with me because I was in and out of the hospital too often.

At this time my favorite book  was “What Doctors Did not Learn in Medical School” I no longer remember the author but in the 90s the book made a lot of sense to me.

I have decided to study myself: health and all. I believe “spirituality” is all encompassing to be my context. My husband taught me to use the heuristic method.

From Websters my husband gave me a practical interpretation of the heuristic method: “…it is relating to exploratory problem-solving techniques  that utilize self-educating techniques to improve performance.”

I draw strength in pursuing my individual path to spirituality from Neale Walsch:
“Humans feel more comfortable when they feel guided. They like to be instructed, directed, told what to do. As an emerging species, this is their proclivity. Like children, they feel safe when clear boundaries are drawn, and specific commands
or orders are given. Then all they have to do is meet the requirements and they’re home free.”

But I no longer am a child. I still want to feel safe but I know it is not right for me.

Given my history of being different, marginal etc. I offer my essays/research as my individual attempts to go on my spiritual path to the best of my ability. The hope is that I just may resonate with some others who also are searching.

From a Facebook post from a wisdom keeper, Maon Tohuna comes this inspiring quote: “There’s no greater praise you can offer to the Creator than to love yourself fully as the beautiful  and perfect being you are!”

The Kingdoms of Man

This is the 6th essay I intend to use for an orientation to a module on Individual spirituality.

Dr Christine Page wrote: As man expands his consciousness by experiencing the various “bodies” of his existence, he will identify with the “intelligence” of each kingdom which will consequently influence his mode of action at that time.

Dr Page continued: “The physical body if from the animal kingdom.

Recently I learned from from Dr Christiane Northrup that Nitric Acid from the mineral kingdom which is produced/released into our bodies when we are pleased or joyful gives oxygen to our hearts and brains. My insight about this is that Nitric Acid can increase the chances of our making choices good for our soul instead of good for our personality.

“The Etheric Body is from the plant kingdom. The Astral Body is from the animal Kingdom. The Mental Body is from the human kingdom and the seat of the will of mans soul.”

While the human kingdom being the seat of the will of mans soul is of utmost importance in spirituality, the other kingdoms are influential enough to help mans
spiritual path or to hinder it.

Dr Page placed the Higher Self on top of the soul. Below the soul is the lower self/personality. Under this is the physical body.

For me, it is important to identify that our personality is a lower self. My interpretation is that our personality is where our temptations, our demons reside.

That is why I consider the 16 Personality Types (Internet Version) basic to understanding our individual path to spirituality.

The Personality test results are best interpreted with the help of the book “Soul Types” . This statement is based on my own personal experience. This is if the aim of the exercise is for spirituality.

The identifying of ones personality is also a protocol for spirituality to move from what Esther Hicks considers a block to most people : “…but are instead doing as most people do trying to live with the negative emotion, accepting it as part of normal life in the modern world.” This is something she wants us to avoid.

“Then eventually there will be a vibration tipping point and the unwanted symptom (negative emotion) will manifest.”

The Astral Body

11908306_10153584375675970_639884377_n   Dr Christine Page wrote: “As man expands his consciousness by experiencing the various “bodies of his existence, he will identify with the “Intelligence” of each kingdom which will consequently influence his mode of actions at that time.”

“The Astral Body contains… both the seat of feelings and of emotions; one could say that which is expressed  by the emotions is registered by the feelings.”

In another essay I will differentiate emotions from feelings.

“The energy of the Astral Body follows the Law of Attraction which reveals that through our emotions we will attract towards us all that is needed for our soul growth.”

Needless to say, we should manage our emotions if  we are to grow spiritually.

“However if the match between expectation and result is poor…then disharmony is registered and the process will be repeated in with alterations in the form of expression, until harmony is achieved.”

The above paragraph is important in spirituality. This can explain why we attract the same or similar problems. This can explain  together with our MBTI or personality type why we keep repeating mistakes or making wrong choices. This can even explain health challenges. This explains why I recently wrote an essay entitled “Health Is Spiritual”.

Disconnections

“Whatever the cause, we have all experienced disconnection during our many lives, forcing us to seek  evidence of our existence in the outside world because we couldn’t find the way home to the cor of our being.”

I believe Dr Christine’s statements above although I am not yet comfortable with “our many lives”. I can very well relate with disconnections. Even in my dreams I constantly find myself on a beach always with somebody who somehow hints of a way home from the beach but always turns out to be another lost soul.

Dr Page offers a hint: “Our essential spirit, a loving remembrance of who we are. an acceptance of our chosen path and a willingness to release our attachments to those things which fail to resonate with the truth as it exists at this moment.”

Misunderstanding

“The misunderstanding that humans have is they believe that they have to find the problem, get to the bottom of it, and wrestle it to the ground and kill it. And we want you to understand that there is no bottom to that. You are only adding vibrational momentum. ” So wrote Esther Hicks.

“Meanwhile those who aren’t all tied up in that, not paying attention to that, can find a better way. Masses commonly fuss and fume and fight with one another, while a Steve Jobs or a Bill Gates finds a solution that revolutionizes the technology world. Everybody had the ability to do it. You only have to focus upon what you desire instead of getting bogged down in the muck and mire of it.”

Hicks, of course, refers to masters who have learned to tame their resistances. No easy task especially when you see the table of resistances listed in “Ask and It Is Given”.
