How I wish to meet
Somebody older than I am
To share stories.

The last earthquake was strong
and long
Thank God I was not alone.

Pei pa koa soothes
not only my throat and stomach
but also my nerves.

Thank God I don’t have dementia
like some of my friends younger than I am
