Consciousness

“Superstruct” from Institute for the Future www.ift.org and “Mission Possible” of Nicanor Perlas have disturbed my relatively peaceful months. Between my books written by an American Buddhist and my recent bible “Finding Your Way in a Wild New World” by Martha Beck I often leave my crossword puzzles unfinished. Rather than get lost in gigantic tasks envisioned by both “Superstruct” and “Mission Possible” I choose to dwell on what is doable in an individual sphere. This way I don’t get lost in my frustrations. I draw inspiration from Lynn Grabhorn who devoted a chapter on consciousness. She titled the chapter as thought. Our connection to God. This chapter together with Beck’s book has brought me countless answers beyond the mechanical visualization exercises urged by “The Secret”. M. Beck refers to “manifesting” as “forming”. This does not require the struggle to will something into reality. “Real forming is a process of INVITING universal ONENESS to play with an individual human imagination. This always begins not with intense, grasping focus; with nonattachment that comes with wordlessness.”

Business Sense

I hardly have any business sense but our world as pictured by “Superstruct”, “MissionPossible”, and especially by M. Beck moves me to participate in the economy.
Ms. Beck makes me believe I can indulge in my own personal art and make a living out of it. My personal energy is mine and unlike anyone else’s.
“Tribes” by Seth Gordon explains that in the emerging economy, customers will form tribes and look for goods and services that matter to them, not factory produced commodities.
The current trend according to M. Beck is “high tech =low price; low tech=high price.” This not too inspiring for me. I’m more of a technocrat than a techie. Meantime I’m happy making personalized interventions through my essays and haikus in my website.

Technology

Today, April 26 Anabelle Villanueva, a favorite blind masseuse reported  that she visited my website. At first I was skeptical; how can a blind read the entries in my website? But then she mentioned the name of my nephew David Victor who provides most of the photographs for my essays. How could she have known David Victor?
She explained that she. even reads novels from the Internet. She uses a device that voices what she reads. Unbelievable but true.
Relatedly this April 23 I read from Yahoo news that Samsung is testing a brain-powered tablet. The technology is still in its infancy but would  allow users to control the computing device with their thoughts. This is exciting! This would help those who are unable to operate technology via voice, swipe, touch or gesture.

Loss

WE stormed heaven with formula prayers and did visualizations. I even used the Hawaiian system of healing: Ho’oponopono. But we lost our brother-in-law.
We have accepted our loss. However, I can”t help but do the slomo-after-the-game recap. Analysis. What went wrong? Was this a case of the law of perversity at work?
I realize it’s useless to harbor resentments against God. Today I found in “Wildflower Living” by Liz Duckworth heartwarming statements:
“Comfort comes not from understanding the reasons for an unfair event. Rather, it comes from FAITH, from trusting God in the darkness.”

Another pearl of wisdom :Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse

Stepping Stones

According to Dr. Hew Len, Joe Vitale”s “The Attractor Factor” and Neville Goddard”s “The Law and The Promise” even “The Secret” are like stepping stones.
” People are at various steps along the path.”  This means that books and other materials speak to people where they are.
“People don’t get what they say so much as what they feel. Most people who pray don’t believe they will be heard or they will be helped. Most people pray from a place of desperation, which means they will attract more of what they are feeling: more desperation.” This statement was made by Joe Vitale in his book “Zero Limits.” Michael Tamura has a similar observation in his book “You Are The Answer”.
Martha Beck has a similar statement…”what you expect most deeply is what guides your behavior, which determines what you form.” Forming is manifesting.
