Awakening Our Divinity

Spirituality is closely affected by our endocrine system: Lynn Grabhorn wrote in “Beyond the Twelve Steps”:
“The pituitary is about the size of a hazelnut, shaped like a pear with its mouth at the narrow end. When thought comes into the brain, it hits the pituitary which then secretes a hormone that flows through the brain into he pineal gland another member of the endocrine system.”

“The pineal, a tiny pine cone-shaped gland projecting down from the back of the brainstem, is the guy that’s responsible for amplifying the thought frequencies when they’re received so that they can be dispatched throughout the body.”

I wished I knew all these in the 90s when I was in and out of the hospital  too
often.  Then my voice turned funny. It was because of myasthenia gravis but my HMO would not honor the diagnosis. Eventually I was diagnosed to have severe clinical depression.

I think had I been spiritual instead of being religious as early as the 90s I would not have sank into depression.

One doctor casually said my problem was due to hormonal imbalance but the rest of the medical team over ruled her.

Lynn Grabhorn could have  done me wonders. She wrote:
“Why is all this important [the endocrine system]? Well, your pituitary is the door to God. The more you allow unlimited thoughts into your brain the more it opens, the more it opens, the more you know. And here’s the crux of it: whatever you know;
you will become.”

Pain-Body

Aside from the bodies identified by Dr. Christine Page, I would like to add another body: the pain -body. The term comes from Eckhart  Tolle. George Sison wrote: “… pain-body describes the accumulation of our painful experiences from the time we were conceived to the present.”

He wrote that it begins to take a life of its own, very much like what we call ego that constantly underscores our imperfections. “This ego, a kind of false self, usurps our so-called true self which is our perfect-self made to the image and likeness of Gd. It then tries with all its might to run our lives.”

My insight is that it is this pain-body , not the devil, that most of the time blinds us to our true self, negating the truth that we are made to the image and likeness of God.

It is this pain -body which prevents us from being Who-We-Really-Are, not any external force.

Dr Page in her book “Frontiers of Health” has a detailed discussion about suppressed emotions registered in the subconscious as pain which affects our choices thus retarding our individual journey into spirituality.

It is important for our spiritual journey that we are aware of our different bodies. Dr Page wrote: “… to unlock the buried emotion and bring the feelings from the ASTRAL BODY through the MENTAL BODY and to resolution on a soul level.”

The Etheric Body

The following essay aims to enhance a previous essay entitled “The Kingdoms of Man”
According to Dr Page, the ETHERIC BODY is below the ASTRAL BODY, just above the PHYSICAL BODY. The ETHERIC BODY is from the plant kingdom.
The plant kingdom traps and transforms energy from the sun. Energywise, Dr Page wrote: At present the greatest contribution of energy entering the chakras is from the ASTRAL BODY and ETHERIC BODY.”
“The journey to spirituality may be affected by the chakra system via the nervous system and the ETHERIC BODY.”
Dr Page identified the spiritual attributes related with each chakra:
Crown                self knowing
Third Eye            self responsibility
Throat                self expression
Heart                  self love
Solar Plexus        self worth
Sacral                 self respect
Base                   self awareness

Wayne Dyer

According to M. Williamson and Dr Christine Page, Wayne Dyer left his body…
Neale Walsch wrote: celebrated his continuation day. Dr Bruce Lipton also wrote about Wayne leaving his body. So did Dr Northrup. It was Deepak Chopra who categorically wrote about Dr Dyer’s death on August 29. I want to honor Dr Dyer who has helped me a lot by dedicating my essay to him.

Heuristic Writings

My husband has written extensively on spirituality in the workplace. I believe that the individual is of utmost importance in any program for any group. I do not believe in the one-size-fits -all dictum. This has been bolstered by my health history.

I have been told: “mine is a marginal case” ; My case is unique”; “The treatment does not work for me”. Once the doctor even told my husband he no longer knew what to do with me because I was in and out of the hospital too often.

At this time my favorite book  was “What Doctors Did not Learn in Medical School” I no longer remember the author but in the 90s the book made a lot of sense to me.

I have decided to study myself: health and all. I believe “spirituality” is all encompassing to be my context. My husband taught me to use the heuristic method.

From Websters my husband gave me a practical interpretation of the heuristic method: “…it is relating to exploratory problem-solving techniques  that utilize self-educating techniques to improve performance.”

I draw strength in pursuing my individual path to spirituality from Neale Walsch:
“Humans feel more comfortable when they feel guided. They like to be instructed, directed, told what to do. As an emerging species, this is their proclivity. Like children, they feel safe when clear boundaries are drawn, and specific commands
or orders are given. Then all they have to do is meet the requirements and they’re home free.”

But I no longer am a child. I still want to feel safe but I know it is not right for me.

Given my history of being different, marginal etc. I offer my essays/research as my individual attempts to go on my spiritual path to the best of my ability. The hope is that I just may resonate with some others who also are searching.

From a Facebook post from a wisdom keeper, Maon Tohuna comes this inspiring quote: “There’s no greater praise you can offer to the Creator than to love yourself fully as the beautiful  and perfect being you are!”
