The Universe and God

Dr Christine Page posted on Facebook: “Be patient: the universe never gives you more then you can handle in the moment.”

In my current worldview/Philosophy, I have a loving God who is not out to test me. In fact I believe I came into this earth blessed by God with everything I need to explore what it means to be made to the image and likeness of God. This I was taught by the Catholic Catechism when I was in the Grade School so long ago. I was taught the same thing in High School. Even in College with 24 units of Theology I learned the same thing. It is such a puzzlement that the Church keeps dis-empowering people by insisting that man has to suffer in order to be saved. Saved from what?

But here comes Dr Page with a benevolent universe. My belief is that God does not test me; it’s the universe that doles out challenges.

It is consoling to learn from Dr Page that I can handle the challenges of the universe that is benevolent after all.

Ho’oponopono absolves the Universe also: “There’s nothing out there. It’s all in you. Whatever you experience, you experience inside yourself.”

Even Shamanism assures me that I can handle the challenges.

Years ago, I learned from Sylvia Boorstein that i can very well manage according to he Buddhist/Jewish wisdom.

Yesterday, August 29, Mike Dooley posted on Facebook an article that as pat of our divinity there is actually nothing that is not good.

Last August 28, early in the morning I personally got a Facebook message from Dr Page about the benevolence of the universe:

“Always (benevolent). But sometimes we don’t recognize the gift until much later.”
